Before you start, make it safe

• Remove the magazine and visually and physically confirm the chamber is empty
• Point the firearm in a safe direction during the entire process
• Separate the upper from the lower receiver to work on the trigger group
• Work on a clean bench with the correct punches and a vise block

Remove the old trigger group

Drift out the hammer and trigger pins, then lift out the factory hammer, trigger, and springs. Keep the safety selector in mind and set the small parts aside so nothing is lost.

Install the forced reset trigger

Drop the assembled forced reset trigger into the lower, align the pin holes, and seat the pins.
