Partisan Triggers Disruptor AR-15 FRT 3 Position Drop In Forced Reset Trigger in Green
A Super Safety-style device is a drop-in part that replaces your AR-15 safety selector and forces the trigger to reset after every shot — giving you faster semi-automatic follow-ups, one round per trigger function, without touching the fire control group. It is the simplest way to add forced-reset speed to a build, and Forced Reset Triggers USA carries the forced-reset selectors and active-reset triggers behind it from Atrius, AS Designs, and Partisan Triggers. Browse the full range of Super Safety triggers below.
How a Super Safety actually works
The original Super Safety concept swaps only the safety selector, so it works with most mil-spec triggers and installs in minutes. From there, designs diverge in how they leverage the trigger:
- The Atrius Super Selektor is a forced reset selector (FRS) with three positions — Safe, Semi, and Full-Semi — machined from heat-treated 4140 steel for a long service life.
- The AS Designs ARC-Fire uses a patent-pending Active Reset Clutch and an ambidextrous selector, with compatibility across more than ten platforms including the AR-15, MP5, MCX, MPX, and SCAR.
- The Partisan Disruptor is a complete drop-in forced reset trigger — no fitting — with a 3.75-4.1 lb pull and a three-position selector.
Which one fits your rifle?
| Device | Type | Positions | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atrius Super Selektor | Forced reset selector | Safe / Semi / Full-Semi | Mil-spec AR-15 triggers, no relief cut |
| AS Designs ARC-Fire | Active-reset selector kit | Safe / Semi / ARC | Multi-platform builds (AR, MP5, MCX, MPX) |
| Partisan Disruptor | Drop-in forced reset trigger | Safe / Semi / Enhanced | A true plug-and-play install |
Compatibility and reliable function
Like any forced-reset device, these run best with a full-auto-profile BCG and an H2 or H3 buffer — the extra carrier mass is what drives a consistent reset. AR9 and roller-delayed platforms may need a gunsmith. If your build needs the supporting hardware, our AR-15 trigger parts cover buffers, carriers, and selectors.
Are Super Safety selectors legal?
These are semi-automatic devices — one round per trigger function. Federal treatment of forced-reset products has moved through litigation and a 2025 settlement, and state law varies, with several states restricting them. Check your state and local laws before ordering; the ATF is the authority for the current federal status.
Frequently asked questions
What does a Super Safety do? It forces the trigger to reset after each shot, so you can fire faster in semi-automatic.
What triggers work with a Super Safety? Most mil-spec triggers without a relief cut; some match triggers need an "SS cut" to fit.
What is the difference between a Super Safety and an FRT? A Super Safety replaces the safety selector; a forced reset trigger replaces the entire trigger group. See the full lineup on our Rare Breed FRT triggers page.
Do I need a special buffer? Yes — an H2 or H3 buffer is strongly recommended for reliable cycling.
Are they legal where I live? Several states restrict forced-reset devices, so confirm your state and local law first.
