X-PRT™ 90 (FRT90) – FN PS90

The X-PRT 90 (formerly marketed as the FRT90) is a purpose-built forced reset trigger system for the FN PS90, developed by Dorin Technologies. It replaces key factory fire-control components and adds a dedicated reset component to give the PS90 a true 3-position selector — Safe, Semi, and Forced Reset — while firing one round for every pull of the trigger.

Legality: the X-PRT 90 fires a single round per pull and, after the May 2025 DOJ settlement, forced reset triggers of this type are not classified as machine guns under federal law. Rather than adapting an AR design, the X-PRT 90 uses proprietary internal geometry developed specifically for the PS90 fire-control group, and it stands among our forced reset trigger lineup as a platform-dedicated option. Heat-treated, nitrided 17-4 stainless steel parts replace the factory polymer hammer and sear, and a hard-anodized 6061 aluminum 3-position selector replaces the factory 2-position unit. The result is exceptional trigger-pull speed with consistent ergonomics and full control, with one round fired per trigger pull. Because it changes core fire-control parts, professional installation is recommended.
